Home Sweet Home

I walked into the huge house. It was quiet, empty, and a bit intimidating. I sighed as I say on my luggage and let reality sink in. This is my new home. I was partially greeted by a young girl, about my age. She slowly peered through a large wooden door. I quickly stood up and threw my arms around her. She smiled, I smiled.

"I am Juliette!", I squealed.

"And I am Lia.", she said. She was almost my height. Her hair was shoulder length and black. She had bangs, and beautiful big brown eyes. Lia headed into the kitchen and got a drink from the fridge.

I smiled as she studied my clothes. I could tell she liked The Beatles too.

"Where are your other sisters?", I asked.

"Upstairs.", she pointed to the staircase as she sipped her drink.

I walked up the staircase. Pictures hung off the walls. They made me frown, and think of my half-sister Rosemary. I heard Lia and her were best friends. I didn;t want to tell her I was related. It would just make me sad.

I smiled as I walked into the first room. It was pink. Pink bedding, pink walls, pink pillows. They're wasn't a non pink item in sight. A girl with hazel eyes say at her vanity and slowly brushed her blond wavy hair. She stood up and jumped as she saw me. I hugged her.

"Gracie! Get off me!", she yelled.

"I'm Juliette!", I laughed.

She pushed me out of her room. I went to Lia's room. I started unpacking. I looked at her walls. There were poster of this guy. Lia was behind me at the time.

"Who is he?", I asked.

"Monroe Chambers.", Lia replied.

"Hey, My last name is Chambers too!", I declared.

Two other girls stepped inside to see what all the noise was.

I hugged them both. One was named Kit, and another was Gracie.

Gracie looked just like me. It was creepy. I swear we just stood and looked at each other for five minutes. "Were you, adopted?", I asked, hoping she was my long lost twin. Well, in a way. "Yes, yes I was.", Gracie whispered. She was creeped out. I could tell. Gracie closed her eyes, turned around and left.

Kit followed.

I unpacked- my John Lennon posters, and of course my love, pride and joy, my iPod. I had to stick up a Justin Bieber poster too.

Lia left and headed to the phone. I think she called up her friends and asked them to get to a lounge or something.

I didn't see her for a while until she came upstairs running and put a strange, modern outfit on  my bed. "Get it on.", she ordered. I nodded and put it on. She applied make up onto me and did my hair. I looked like a weirdo.

Lia pushed me down the stairs, outside and into a log cabin. I stumbled inside only to see some boys. I looked into a near-by mirror and gasped.

I looked awesome.

"You, me, ice cream?", A boy named Alex asked. He had Justin Bieber hair. I couldn't resist.

"Sure.", I smiled.

Hippies

My name is Juliette Chambers. I live in Boston with my errrrr... Hippie family. You see, I live with my mum,  sister Gia, and brother Jedi. I am the black sheep of the home. For example, I have orange flippy hair, and they hair blond and bland straight hair. Jedi is really Michael. He is going through a Star Wars fase, I guess. It's weird because this kid is only 22, and still living with his parents. I am only twelve, and home schooled. Gia like palm reading and using Ouija board, just like my mum. Mom is a psychic, and dad- left because of a peace riot in another country. According to my mom.

I have an aunt too! Her name is Erin. She lives in Canada with four girls. They are her adoptive daughters. I really want to meet them, but since of the miles away ratio, we can't.

The reason I am the black sheep is because I don't want to continue the hippie studies. It bores me to death. I want to be a doctor when I grow up. Or a model. I am not sure. I want to move to aunt Erin's so badly. she is a fashion designer... and has four girls my age!

Here is what happened today-

"MICHAELL! It's dinner!", Mum called.

Gia and I were already at the dinner table. I was going to tell something to the family.

Michael walked downstairs. "It's Jedi mum!", he snapped back.

"Now kids, I made a tofu risotto, with vegetarian veggies.", she smiled.

"Ugh!", I grunted when mum started the hippie chanting and blessing. Her skirt swayed as I watched in horror. Who knew how embarrassed I am to go out in public with her.

"Ilca matcha mootans. Liaski eas qwang!", Mum smiled.

I shoveled the food into my mouth like it was diamonds.

After I stopped my heart sank. I was afraid to confess something.

"Mom, Gia, Jedi. I have something to ask. Can I go stay with aunt Erin for a few months? I'll come home during the holidays, I promise.", I begged.

Mum laughed. ,"Okay! I sense that you'll enjoy yourself. I'll call Erin and we'll get you over faster than you can say Canada!"

Canada here I come.
